How much do you charge?

There are a few factors that will affect the overall cost of the band. The main thing will be how far we have to travel to get to you. Other things would be the size of the venue, the length of time you need us to play for, and any extra equipment we may need to bring. The best thing to do is to get in touch with us via the contact page. Just let us know where, when and what you need and we will get back to you asap with a realistic quote. We would like to work with you and your budget to make your day the very best it can be.

Will you play our first dance?

We are happy to play your first dance for you if that is what you would like. There is no additional cost for this.

How much deposit is required?

We require 25% of the full fee at the time of booking. The balance is then payable by direct transfer, cheque, or cash a week before your event or on the actual day.

What type of venues will you play?

The band can perform at a wide variety of venues from pubs and village halls to large country estates, theatres, halls or hotel function rooms. The band will also perform in marquees or outdoors, under cover, if the weather allows it.

What areas do you cover?

We are happy to play anywhere in the UK but are based in Leeds/Manchester, Yorkshire.

How many members are in the band?

We can appear as anything from a 4 piece band up to a 7 piece band. Our two main options however are the 4/5 piece CORE band or the 7/8 piece SHOW band. The showband consists of drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, saxophone, male singer, female singer. The size of the band can be tailored to your budget and extra musicians can be added or subtracted to suit any specific requests you may have.

Do you always appear with exactly the same line up?

Our band members are all professional musicians and as such, are occasionally away on other jobs. In that case we have regular stand ins who take their place seamlessly.

Will the band need a PA or special lighting rig?

The band supply their own PA system. We also supply a lighting rig.

Do you take song requests?

Clients are welcome to request specific songs and we will try to accommodate these where possible.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes we do. Also, all of our equipment is PAT tested.

How much space do you need?

Generally an area of 6 metres by 4 metres is adequate for our show band and 3.5 by 2.5 metres for our core band.

How long do you need to set up?

We need about 90 minutes to set up in advance of the performance.

How long do you normally play for?

We usually play two 60 minute sets or two 45 minute sets. We can play 1 longer set if needed - just let us know when you book.

Will I also need to hire a dj?

We are happy to play a selection of continuous music that is mixed together before and between our performances. We can provide a DJ service for after our performance at an additional cost.

Have groove manuva ever had to cancel a gig?

No! In case of last minute emergencies or illness we have a list of back up musicians..
