Groove Manuva at your wedding

Arrival and setup

We will be able to arrive at your venue by 5.30pm (6.30pm on Fridays) and begin moving our equipment inside. We will need parking close by for several vehicles and a clear way in to the room. We will be as quick as possible and the full load in and sound check process usually takes no longer than 90 minutes. We will take care and try not to disturb guests at this point. We will need to make some noise to check the sound towards the end of this process so hopefully guests will be ok in an adjoining room whilst this takes place. We can set up earlier than this if required but there will be a charge for this.

After set up

We will finish sound check by the time your guests are due to arrive at the room. We will put on some background music and then go and get changed in to our stage clothes. We request that the venue are able to provide us with a hot meal each and also tea/coffee if possible. If it's not possible for this to happen at this point then it's fine for it to be arranged for in the interval.

First dance and live music

From this point onwards we are flexible our playing times. Things normally work best with 2 sets an hour long each, but we can just as easily play 3 sets 40 minutes long each. You will probably want to agreed a time to start your first dance and we will stick to that, running straight in to our first set. We will invite guests up to the dance floor and make sure things kick off nicely. When we are finished with our first hour of music we will revert back to carefully selected music from our laptop for the interval.

Final set and finishing off

Our second set will really set the place on fire. Expect plenty of dancing, banter and possibly even ties round heads! We will do encores as needed and then when we have really reached the end we will make sure we play great party music from our laptop for the remaining time up until midnight. When this has finished we usual speak to some of your guests about how the day has been and make sure people have had a great time! After that is finished we will carefully pack down our equipment and say our goodbyes. The pack down process usually takes about an hour.
