2 weeks ago we played an awesome wedding at a new venue to us – Larkspur Lodge in Knutsford for the lovely Zoe and James! Larkspur Lodge is a lovely rustic barn venue with lots of exposed brickwork and a fantastic vibe. Zoe and James had Chasing Cars as their first dance – take a listen to a very short clip below 🙂 The whole evening was great fun and all the guests got a good shot at the dancefloor!

Last week we played at a cracking wedding for Laura and Robin at The Millhouse Restaurant in Skidby near Hull. The weather was great and it was a great evening of music and dancing! The lovely couple had ‘Cant Take My Eyes Off You’ as their first dance which went down a storm!
We managed to get a special request in for Harriet, Beatrix, Vincent which the kids enjoyed 🙂 The evening finished off with Amy playing some Ibiza style sax along with our DJ service which is always a good way to end the night!

In June we had a blast playing for Lyndsey and John at their wedding at the Crowne Plaza hotel on Liverpool’s Albert Dock. We started off in the afternoon with an acoustic set whilst guests arrived after the ceremony. It was a lovely day and Liverpool was heaving!
After the acoustic set it was on to the evening proper with the couple’s first dance and evening dancing.
We had a fantastic time and it was lovely to meet Lyndsey and John on their special day. All the best to you for the future from all the guys in the band!
This weekend we played a wedding at the Coniston Hotel near Skipton for the fabulous Judith and Steve. Our bride and Groom were fab people and Steve got the evening rolling with a little set of his own!
Judith and Steve had ‘always’ by Bon Jovi as their first dance and what a good night we had!
A couple of special requests made their way in there and we finished the night off with a great sing along with all the guests.

Last weekend we played a rustic themed tipi wedding in the grounds of Giggleswick school for the lovely Cat and Dave. Tipi weddings always have a great laid back feel and this was no exception. From the moment we arrived everyone we met was smiling and having a great time so we knew we were in for a good one!
As soon as we kicked off, everyone jumped on the dance floor and there they stayed for the rest of the night. Our photo pod was a big success and got plenty of usage during the evening 🙂
There was an interesting end to the night but we managed to finish the last song before wrapping up after a raucous evening. After some good chats with family and friends the bride and Groom headed off and we enjoyed the last part of the night.
So thanks again Cat and Dave for having us along for the ride. It was super fun and we wish you all the best for the future!
Last weekend we played at an amazing wedding at a venue we have never been to before (it doesn’t happen often!) which was the Wylam brewery in Newcastle. It’s an actual working brewery and the smells as you walk in are just divine 🙂 James and Alice were the perfect hosts and we really enjoyed playing at your special day!
The couple had Eric Clapton, wonderful tonight for their first dance which was a great choice.

Congratulations Yorkshire Water in raising over ONE MILLION POUNDS for the amazing wateraid charity! We were very honoured to have played the wateraid ball for the second year in a row at the New Dock venue at the royal armouries in Leeds. As usual it was a great turnout and people gave generously for this very special cause.
While one billion people have escaped extreme poverty in the last 20 years, at least 10% of the world’s population still live without safe water to drink and one in three people live without a decent toilet. As a result, 500,000 children die every year. This wholly unacceptable situation causes untold suffering, holding back human and sustainable development. It particularly affects the lives of women, who carry the burden of collecting water and caring for sick children, and the lives of girls who often fail to finish their education because of a lack of toilets in schools.
So thanks again Yorkshire Water for having us as part of your celebrations, as always it was a blast!
The lakeside cafe is a lovely spot in the historic Roundhay Park in Leeds. As the name suggests, the cafe is next to the lake so expect glorious views out over the water. And THIS weekend it was the venue for Jamie and Jane’s birthday celebration. What a lovely couple, and we were really glad to be part of your special day!

What a great Christmas party this was at the Imperial War Museum in Manchester! Stantec Treatment Ltd know how to have a good time and after all the hard work they have put in this year, it was time to let their hair down!
We had a great time too and it was great to meet so many friendly people. All the best from the band!
Christmas was fast approaching and one of our last weddings of 2018 was for the lovely Lucie and Scott at Middleton Lodge near Richmond in North Yorkshire. We started the day with an acoustic set in the afternoon during the drinks reception in the main entrance hallway. This is always a favourite part of the day for us and it’s great to see family and friends getting together for drinks and chats!
Later on the party really started – the lovely couple had Marvin Gaye ‘Aint no mountain high enough’ for their first dance which was played live by the band!
